If you would like to take CNA classes in Florida to be a Certified Nurse Assistant you will need to be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent. You should take a state certified course and then pass the Florida state CNA exam. Before you can take the exam you must pass a background check and have your fingerprints taken. You do not have to complete a course in order to attempt the exam, but it is highly advised. The CNA training in Florida contains at minimum 75 hours of instruction in a 6-12 week period. These courses typically cost $400-800 dollars. You must complete the competency exam within 24 months of completing your exam. Once you pass your exam you need to register with the Florida Nurse Aid Registry.
