If you would like to take CNA classes in Texas to become a Certified Nurse Assistant in you must take a state certified CNA training course and complete at least 51 hours of classroom learning and 24 hours of clinical learning. Unlike other states you will not be required to provide a high school diploma or GED. You will need to do some medical check-ups and a felony background check. Once you have completed your course then you may take the CNA state exam. This exam is divided into a written and skills two part exam. If you do fail the exam you may take it up to 3 times.
